Changes to City Operations
The City of Artesia has taken significant measures to protect the public and staff as the COVID-19 outbreak has persisted over the last several months. Staff continues to work diligently to address requests for service by residents and businesses. In recognition that some services require in-person interaction, the City will be opening to the public for limited in-person services by appointment only on Monday, August 3rd. To protect the health and safety of all employees and members of the public, all services which can be conducted via email or over the phone will continue to be conducted remotely. Services that will be offered in person by appointment include Notice of Violation/Citation Appeals, Dial-a-Ride registration, Parks and Recreation program registrations, Measure V and other payments, residential parking permits, submittal of plans, and building and planning permits. A full list of services with contact names and numbers for appointments is available here.
Per L.A. County Department of Public Health, yard sales are considered private gatherings outside a household, and the Health Officer Order prohibits private gatherings. In compliance with the Health Officer Order, the City will not be issuing permits for yard sales.
